The Threshold – a new film by Jacek Kadaj
After 20 years of silence, Sophie meets her mother Eva – a woman who was once her father. Their encounter, in the stuffy apartment of a decaying tenement, becomes a confrontation with the past, pain, and questions of abandonment and acceptance.
Told in the style of poetic auteur cinema, the film is also a technological experiment – entirely created using generative AI tools that replaced the traditional film camera.
